Nationwide: May house prices up 0.3%

UK house prices put on 0.3% in May, having slipped 0.2% in April, according to Nationwide. The lender’s three-month-on-three-month measure registered a 0.6% increase in May, but at £167,208, the value of the typical home had declined 1.2% compared with a year earlier (April: -1.3%).
