Mortgage comparisons distorted by fees
Mortgage providers are charging their customers a total of 39 different types of fee, according to new research by Which? Money.
The consumer group claims that four in five two-year tracker mortgages for up to 90% loan-to-value (LTV) ratio were charging over £990 in set-up fees in 2010, compared to one in five in 2007.
