House prices return to monthly decline

House prices in England and Wales fell 0.3% in September, compared with August, following two consecutive months of price rises, albeit marginal ones. According to the latest LSL/Acadametrics index, outside London, prices fell across all regions. At £218,650, the value of the typical home stood £18,416 (or 9.2%) above its April 2009 trough and £13,179 [...]
